The Spring Lake Live Liner Fishing Club welcomes members who fish for striped bass (and other species) using a wide range of methods. 

The Club is one of the participants in the annual Invitational Striped Bass Tournaments, a series of striper tournaments sponsored by the competing clubs. Currently, the Asbury Park Fishing Club, the Berkeley Striper Fishing Club, the Bradley Beach Fishing Club, the Monmouth Beach Cartoppers, the Shark River Surf Anglers and the Surf City Fishing Club participate.

From 1995 through 1998, the Spring Lake Live Liner Fishing Club won the yearly trophy over much larger clubs. Club members are actively involved in conservation issues. In addition, the Spring Lake Live Liner Fishing Club is a charter member of both the Recreational Fishing Alliance and the Jersey Coast Anglers Association. (Club member Joe Melillo was the first president of the JCAA.)
